Update:: they fixed the playback and while they speak of another issue Im not sure I see it. My content is working both from home and remotely via the application now. :) Luckily when I signed up today for a the Lifetime License with both PlayOn and PlayLater as well as the HD support I wasnt primarily looking at the support for a Mobile device because well it simply does NOT work. As others have said it gets as far as selecting the stream but if you attempt to play it the whole application crashes and is simply gone. Hope this gets fixed because even though my primary reason for the server is to play my local videos and several streaming services (including ESPN) on my several TVs is would be nice if this worked also...especially if the remote mobile option works.

Great app, thanks for the quick fix on iOS8. I love casting to my Roku and chromecast.

Thanks for fixing guys. I love the new UI too. Awesome app for aggregating all online content and watching it directly. Note: requires Windows PC.

I tried to connect remotely with app and the app doesnt recognize my network. I hope they fix this soon. I use the remote feature frequently.

I gave it two stars because sometimes it works, but thats not good enough. I dont really see much usefulness in this app since just getting the individual apps from broadcasts seems much more stable. I though this might be a nice addition to Plex, which is amazing, but it was only a distraction. Not good, poor interface, unreliable, nahh.

All of a sudden the app plays the first 10 seconds of a video and restarts to the beginning. This has been going on since the new year. It doesnt matter if it is a stream or if youre playing something off of play later. Playon on pc is up to date with 75mps internet, advanced internals on PC and up to date app. Works great on Roku, just not on the iPhone. Please work up a patch. Thanks.

It would be great if PlayOn have FAVORITES folder for us to be able to add all the tv shows we watch often so we dont have to keep browsing for all our shows every time we want to watch it. With favorite lists its just easy for us to find the shows we want to watch in one place.

I find that silly as there are internal LAN files I want to play when internet is down. Needs an offline mode.

Im having issues with the app working iOS 9.

Get used to tapping at least 5 times before you get a response. Not certain what the free version gets me besides Netflix and HBO Now that I already have. Even cable channels I already pay for in my monthly subscriptions requires me to upgrade.

I love all of the choices on Playon. This is such a wonderful service. Very user friendly.

PlayOn is awesome. I use it everyday as part of my cable cutting solution. I have 3 Rokus and 2 Sony blu-ray players and they all work great. I was hoping for a Netflix like interface. The only change that I can see is the app icon. LoL

Cant get videos to play on my Ipad while Im away from home. Nothing happens.

The new app is a great companion to the new software. This now combines the ability of the Playon and PlayLater apps into one. Videos loaded into iTunes on my computer now can be loaded to my phone/iPad and played with the option to skip adds. So when Im on the go with no internet (like on a plane or taxi) I have all my shows still accessible. Well Played Playon, Well Played.

The new lock screen controls for Chromecast are a home run. Great enhancement to PlayOn! The new UI and fixes for iOS 8 are fantastic!

Since the upgrade to version 4, the video streaming on iPhone is very poor. Every split second the picture undulates from sharp to pixilated making it impossible to watch a show or movie. The PlayOn Program on our computer is up to date with all the November fixes, but streaming on phones is not working.

Terrible functionality. Setup is severely dysfunctional. I upgraded, and it never would recognize my upgrade. Tried rebooting, deleting, and re-downloading, still same problem. Also, I have a 1 year old PC with Java enabled, play on said it wasnt, and even after I paid more $ for the upgrade, it wouldnt let me past there "sales" page. The iPhone app is terrible. This is so bad its probably a scam...

Worthless trash

The iOS app provides most of the functions of the desktop program. One feature that would be nice to add for the app is notifications when a recording fails or completes.
